The owners of this beautiful waterfront residence in Grosse Pointe not only wanted to replace their old deteriorating wood windows, but also to open up the rear elevation facing the water with elegant round top doors and windows, where only smaller rectangular openings existed. The work was done in five stages between 1999 and 2004 using a variety of Marvin products, including Clad Tilt Pac's, Clad Insert Double Hung's, Clad Picture Windows, Clad Ultimate Double Hung's, a Bay Window and a Clad In swing French Door. For the new openings, the homeowners came to us with an idea of what they wanted and we were able to take their idea and turn it into reality. |

Clad Ultimate Double Hung Replacement window on second floor. Tilt Pac's were used on the third floor dormer windows. Casement and Picture windows also were used in other window openings. Simulated Divided Lights in all windows help to give the different window types a uniform look. |

Our CAD Drawings helped the homeowners to see exactly what they would be getting when their windows were ordered. The drawing of the rear entry way onto the veranda is shown. |

The new round top doors installed. The profile compliments the existing round top window next to the doors. We took the homeowner's idea, designed the project around the products to be installed, opened the wall, removed the existing wood shake siding, framed in the new openings, provided design specifications for the brick and custom cement work, installed the new product and finished the job inside and out. The homeowner's dream of opening their spacious dining room to the veranda with sweeping views of Lake St. Clair was fulfilled by The William Stanley Co. from start to finish. |
